1. Preparation & Mixing

Before you plug anything in, you need to prepare your solution. Using the right ratio is the difference between rich foam and watery mess.

• The Mix: You can mix per fill or pre mix a gallon.

1. Use 2 capfuls of Latherking Liquid Shave Cream (and optionally a capful of cleaner) per full tank of warm water.
2. Mix 4 ounces (1/2 bottle) of Campbell's Liquid Shave Cream and 2 ounces (1/4 bottle) of Latherking Cleaner with 1 gallon of distilled water.

• The Water: Always use distilled water if you live in a hard-water area. Mineral buildup is the #1 killer of these machines.
• Fill: Pour the mixture into the soap cup reservoir. Do not overfill; leave about a half-inch of headspace.

2. The Startup Process

1. Plug it in: Ensure the machine is on a level surface.
2. Prime the Pump: Turn the machine on and wait about 15–20 minutes for the internal heating element to reach the ideal temperature.
3. Purge the Air: The first use after the machine has heated to ideal temperature, hold the dispense button for a few seconds. You might hear some sputtering—that’s just air leaving the lines.

3. Dispensing the Lather

• Position: Place your hand or a shaving brush directly under the nozzle.
• The Press: Press and hold the dispense button.
• The Consistency: * Too thin? You likely used too much water or didn't wait long enough for it to heat.
• Too thick/No flow? The soap-to-water ratio is too high, or the internal filter is clogged.

4. Daily Maintenance (The "Pro" Habit)

To keep the Latherking from seizing up, follow these three rules:

• The Clear-Out: At the end of every day, press the dispense button for a few seconds to clear out any sitting foam that might harden in the nozzle overnight.
• Wipe Down: Use a damp cloth to wipe the nozzle area. Dried soap acts like glue on the moving parts.
• Keep it Full: Never run the machine dry. Running the motor without liquid can cause it to overheat and burn out.
• Cleaner: Every 3–6 months, run a specialized Latherking Cleaner through the system to descale the internal heater and lines
