Using a razor comb requires a light touch, as standard styling blades are incredibly sharp. Always ensure the hair is damp before texturizing to avoid pulling or creating split ends.

Step-by-Step Guide

1.Insert the Blade:Before wet styling.

Carefully slide open the protective guard plate on the razor side of the comb. Align a fresh 58mm single-edge styling blade with the internal positioning pins, then slide the guard back into place securely.

2.Prep the Hair:Damp hair is essential.

Wash or thoroughly mist the hair with water. Never use a razor comb on completely dry hair, as it causes friction, tears the hair cuticle, and causes discomfort for the client.

3.Section and Comb:Using the comb side.

Use the fine-toothed comb side to part the hair into manageable sections. Decide where you want to texturize or remove bulk (typically the mid-shaft down to the ends; avoid cutting too close to the roots).

4.Razor and Texturize:Using the razor side.

Hold a section of hair taut between your fingers. Turn the tool to the razor side, hold the comb at a 45-degree angle against the hair strand, and use light, short, sweeping motions toward the ends. Let the weight of the razor do the cutting—do not force or chop at the hair.
